God Killing And More Choice Consequences

To my lovely lifemate, Chieftain Laval’liere Lightbringer,

I have wasted three parchments trying to figure out how to say how happy I am about this news. Frankly, I was worried I did not leave a good impression even though now when I have dreams that you’re in they are tinged in the color purple. I am so happy to become parents with you.

The last 12 days since I got your letter have been nothing short of world shattering. Back when I got your letter I was at a feast being thrown for CrIsis by Elanu Groff in New Crests. I waved it for everyone to see exclaiming I was to be a father! The party raged on but I was worried about the Festival of Bast the following day because of the lustful practices that happen in their temples. I could not avoid going since Bast herself stood up for me against Lopnel. Yes, I am talking about two gods. So I thought if I had one of the crew of the Shield Of Light pose as my date then I could avoid any compromising situations.

When Aleyne “Eyes” Hawkspur said she would assist me I felt like I had everything in order. Over the travels I have heard about her past from fragments the crew would talk about. She has had a dark life not unlike some of the stories I heard from other members of our Shandar Tribe. She fell pray to those dark emotions and became a dark soul. Following my father’s advice I tried to show her a better way. I put everything I learned from Lady Rhiana to the test. Heck, I even invented a spell on the spot with no preparation to give her a fancy outfit to wear for the evening.

During the festival and being a Demigod of the pantheon means, in my mind, honoring the Goddess that was willing to die for me and CrIsis. I told “Eyes” that whatever happened on the festival night would be a religious celebration of Bast. Should she wish to pursue the issue further then she must seek your approval to become one of my wives. She accepted those terms and still felt in earnest about pursuing the issue. I told her to think about it and give me her answer when we made it to Haven.

That’s when my world kinda went to Hades because of a “series of unfortunate events” that made the day abyssal in scope. Once more of the books come out there will be other descriptions of our capture, my torture at the hands of the Dark God – Bes, my battle with Bes, and my slaying of Bes!

Yeah, I kinda killed the God of Depravity by ripping his dick off. I’m sure there is some deep irony present, however, I don’t want to go there.

Good grief that never gets any easier to write out, and before you wonder if I have finally started fibbing. Father Indaris is dead laying on the floor of my cabin on the Shield of Light, next to me as I write this and attempt to regain the energy to resurrect him. I have now less than 24 hours to effect his resurrection. The followers of Bes now want blood but have lost their powers when Bes died. We had to flee to avoid being the centerpiece of a civil war on the streets of Haven! Shaman Grignak is working on a plan to try and purify the pieces of Bes we have so if we are successful we can bring the god back but as God of Light!

Once all of this gets worked out I will check once more with “Eyes” and make sure she still wants this. If yes, I will send another letter about that conversation and how I plan to get her started on her journey to see you. Even if you don’t find her worthy please help her find her way back to the light once again? I have given her the rune flail, Cynic. It has an amazing curse I think will help her.

Not to anyone or anything, for any reason! I feel as she strives to become a better person this will help her take an honest look at herself and how she feels. If you accept her as my second wife then please grant her membership among the tribe. I am sure that will entail another set of challenges but she’ll be up to the task and it will add another rune friend to our tribe!
