Oaths & Vows Are What We Use To Uphold The Laws We Set

“Oaths & Vows Are What We Use To Uphold The Laws We Set.”

In the times I have traveled this has been the thought forming in my mind from every culture and race of people I have met. If there is a motto I would have it be that line.

Jershon, I accept your worship. Knowing you are not a man of rash decisions, or actions. I am sure you would be aware declaring yourself my Primus Preavator or First Prophet, means that both the Pantheon of Light and Pantheon of Dark will be made aware of your choice.

So if this is indeed your choice please inform your uncle, the most holy Pontiff – U’Selekma, that you are now my high priest. May word spread and know you step into a unique role alongside me. For all of the legends I know of the past nothing mentions the inclusion of a new god unto the Pantheon of Light. When the church existed in its proto-state eons ago I am sure those among the faithful were more directly involved with the Pantheon. I can think of no one else I would want at my side than the man that stood beside me as we both faced off against the god Kirgi!

I am honored you would carry my banner, Primus Preavator.

An interesting power I just discovered is the ability to craft a sigil. I will impart it to the bottom of the missive but I shall explain its heraldry to you:

The “Hand” is to signify it is an act of free will to uphold an oath or vow.

The “Armored Gauntlet” upon the hand is to remind us that free will is not free and we shall defend it.

The “Scale” is the Lawgiver we uphold his laws with our Oaths and Vows. Furthermore in promises to each other and our communities we make vows to agree upon standards of cooperation to allow growth. Without this all of us stagnate and war festers.

The “Lightning” is the power of communication and conviction. Without these things misunderstanding happens and the free will I spoke of falters.

The “Flaming Wreath” has a double meaning. I know there were moments I felt abandoned in my life but it was my Vow to rebuild the Lawgivver that kept me going. That Vow was my connection to “She of Countless Names” and her fiery passion that kindled my soul and brought me into the life I have now. The other meaning is the Seraphim Angel, Elyth, for it was she that helped me touch the Lawgiver’s heart.
With these two meanings please know that as the following grows I hear your prayers. If you find yourself alone, in the dark and doubting – don’t.
Believe in me for I believe in you.

  • Even by just explaining his idea for the sigil he has inadvertently set forth the tenants of his faith. This missive will become part of his religious texts I think. I am looking at his actions very differently now.
