To Kill A God
Tweet
To my lovely lifemate, Chieftain Laval’liere Lightbringer,
Please pass my warmest wishes along to my new friends in the Company of the Hexataur and that I miss them greatly. Those three days were a whirlwind and I never got a chance to tell you some of these details that are a part of my life. While I am on this quest for the Pantheon of Light, any missives I send “are copied” via the will of the same gods. They will be sent to a few people that make the books about our travels happen. I know it will seem odd but I am trying to make sure there are no secrets between us because to me anything can be overcome if all involve communicate about it. Our relationship started so fast just show this to my father and Rostam can tell you all about my mother, Darakh’zan Lightbringer, and my first father Xerx’ses Lightbringer. Both of them were wielders of Saraph, your new friend. I cannot thank you enough for the honor you did me by taking Isis as your heavenly mother and patron. You see, I met her and she “picked” me for this quest. I made a promise I would not rest until I returned her husband and my personal savior, Osiris, to her. To think she may be pleased enough with me to grant me not just a bride but one as beautiful as you! It makes me lose thoughts thinking about how lucky I am, and how blessed to be part of such a large family once again.
I hope the “Exodus” goes well and I am sure Chieftain Rostam, Chieftain Xixin, and you will have your hands full with the Adraodan closing off and collapsing access to their cave network. Brother Jark Stonerush said that the clergy among the Minotaur and the Hoomans were planning to dismantle the shrine of the ancients! Then use those materials to build a shrine in Fort Etrinan! I hope they take the Elf-Faced Statue of Isis and the Minotaur statues that Father Indaris told me about. He said that Cardinal Rothas has said this will be the beginning of the foundation of a second Shandala. Only with the Crusaders of Light being trained over Warrior Monks! Exciting times indeed.
Umm, sweetheart, if any part of this letter seems cold or distant I am very sorry. I, umm, have never written a letter of endearment before and I hate not being able to spend time with you more. It is my hope that we can learn about each other as people, friends, and lovers. Oh, I am not psychic in any fashion so you will actually have to tell me if I screw something up. I promise I will do my best to fix it or learn how to be better and then fix it.
The day has been long and if you have read the books then you know my band has made many enemies including the Arch Fiend, Ratel, and the dark god of Rats and the leader of the Zealotry, Kirgi! As we left the caves we realized that our bard, Rooster had left when what I thought was a baby Wolfen had arrived named, Silent Dream. Turns out there are different beasts races like the Minotaur up north and most of them come from some form of dog-like breed. The Kankoran I’m told is similar to a fox creature, not that I have ever seen a fox personally. Well we began to head out to the nearest dune when our new friend spotted movement and sensed danger. Oh yes Silent Dream is a Mind Mage so you understand more about how he does what does. Well I decided we just didn’t have time for a fight and teleported everyone away to a sanctuary provided to us by the Church of Light. I was able to sleep and recover a fair bit of my energy, so I could then use my talismans to help teleport us to the far away island town of Bletherad where my ship, Rogtilda is docked.
While we were there we got a chance to speak with the soul of the ship and find out he wanted to spend his last days in the Timiro Kingdom so I instructed my first mate and acting captain, Master Jershon, to make ready to sail by the morning tides. He informed us about the Ashada known as Mistress Vesuvia had returned to give us information that could only be shared with CrIsis. It was while CrIsis and Jershon, whom was leading us to her location were set upon by Ratel, Kirgi the giant sized rat god made flesh, and a number of his Ratling folk. The rat god kept demanding we turn over books to him, but at the time we had no idea whom he was so we dispatched the Ratlings and Ratel, having considered him to be the larger threat. After that it became a slug fest with Kirgi, whom fled when we finally were making headway into killing a god! I can’t believe I am writing those words!
When it was over we shared tea with Mistress Vesuvia and garnered the most needed information regarding a piece of Osiris. We then retired to either Auntie Ev’s bar or the ship. I am writing this from my cabin where I shall sleep tonight but dream about purple leather upon you.
With endearing love,
Xerx’ses Goldenhorn,
Immortal War Wizard of CrIsis,
aka: Captain Osric Orghallar of Rogtilda
