The Construction of the Centennial Underway

This report is to detail the subject we have been studying this half-year of Advance History class, the Centennial Underway. It was finished a year ago on the 27th of Thoth in the 105th year of Koris Gwaisol and King Minischmee of Bizantium, 449th year of the Domion Charter Lands, 29th year of the reign of King Guy the Second, and the 176th year of the Wolfen Empire. While, it is never publicized but my grandfather actually had the tunnel finished on Selestra 21st of the 105th year of Koris Gwaisol to honor Ra. He held off the official opening till the 27th of Thoth as a way of honoring a century of the return of Osiris.

It bears noting that in the Quest of CrIsis only two among them became young godlings, Xerx’ses and my grandfather. Osiris the Lawgiver asked my grandfather to become a king before taking his place among the pantheon. My grandfather simply nodded and his one and only priest the – at that time – current King of Accoroc underneath the Timiro Kingdom bequeathed his crown unto my grandfather and in return was named the Cardinal of Torrun, God of Valor.

Next, came the battle of Kaash, and it being renamed: Novus Gilead. The closest companions among the Battle of Kaash that stood with my grandfather was the Seeker of Isis, Bishop Indaris of Koris Gwaisol. The Cardinal of Torrun’s church, and one more individual that disappears from the records shortly thereafter, Brother Luther, Herald of Xerx’ses the Oathkeeper. While not critical to the completion of this report it is said he is on another world spreading the message of his lord and savior.

Soon, after the battle he was King of two cities but could only be in one at any given time. He made a final plea to the now High Thane and Thanista of Novus Gilead, Tiny & Wrunella. They agreed to bind themselves to the Clan of Ithan and allowed my father to grow up with his half-brother Thane Avkrall. That is not to say my grandaunt, Queen Disvanova, was not involved in aiding in the Battle of Kaash or building the Centennial Underway. In a deft political maneuver she got the six Dwarven Kingdoms to relocate to Northolme. The collective seceded their territory to the Algor Giants which has gone on to become a member state of the Empire. Among the Dwarves Queen Disvanova sent to aid her brother were three of the chief architects of the Centennial Underway.

Now depending upon the nation you come from half-siblings marrying if frowned upon, smacking of old Western Imperial traditions. Queen Mary bred strong children and ever since my father struck a truce with the High Orcs of the Old Kingdom Mountains, by helping them repel the giants. He was rewarded with the ancient throne of the Dwarven Empire from the capital of Korin Gilead! Yeah my father is pretty darn awesome! When that was brought home for grandfather to use as his seat of power he was offered any one wish. He asked for my mother’s hand in marriage and it was granted pending her agreement. Since I am born and writing this we don’t need to go into details of that.

It took a century and listed here are some of the ancillary events surrounding and behind its construction. A 50 foot wide causeway, carved and paved between Accoroc and Novus Gilead! If the treaty with the Kobolds near Accoroc goes through then a triangle will be constructed and trade freely done once more! Currently we have the largest underground kingdom within Koris Gwaisol. I think I will end this tale with the song Master Merkl the Magnificent and my grandfather cobbled together from some old story about an imaginary place called Skyrrm or something. It’s a style he was fond of doing when he wrote.

Champions of the sun

Shade your eyes from the light of your feat
Mourn lost friends and a victory bittersweet.

Hero’s of CrIsis, legends evermore
The bravest souls, fighting the gods unending war.

Fighting to keep darkness on the run
CrIsis are the champions of the sun

Adept sisters fighting all
Adroit brothers warrior’s call
Maidens crones mothers fall
Strength faith powerful wall

Fighting to keep darkness on the run
CrIsis are the champions of the sun

Torrun, dwarfking, a walking armoury
Grignak, holy one of light, a foe terrible to see

Willy, lightning lord, Eagle friend and free.
Silences dream of peace will never be

Fighting to keep darkness on the run
CrIsis are the champions of the sun

Hero’s of CrIsis, legends evermore
The bravest souls, fighting the gods unending war.

Hero’s of CrIsis, legends evermore
The bravest souls, fighting the gods unending war.

Adept sisters fighting all
Adroit brothers warrior’s call
Maidens crones mothers fall
Strength faith powerful wall

  • Glad to have some recognizable faces join Koris Gwaisol- Indaris, Tiny, and Honey are all welcome sights!
Creative and cool way to end Torrun’s story!

  • I was especially glad to see this: “176th year of the Wolfen Empire.”

  • I am glad that Indaris has made a small cameo in the end of our story and a Bishop no less
