Change of Plans

For once we may actually do as we’ve been told.
Friend Malkin,
This is a letter from Silent Dream. I wished to update you on our travel plans. We left Bizantium with a certain destination in mind. But new information has come to light since then. We have been asked to visit a very respected ally first. Though this visit will sea us head inland we will make this journey as requested. We have no one leader but we all are holy committed to this new destination.
I hope what I am saying makes sense to you. I know you wished to see us prior to our departure to Hades. We wish to see you as well. I do not know if it’s possible for our paths to intersect at our new destination. But I wanted to make sure I let you know in case it was possible.
I wish you well. Thank you for all you do and have done for CrIsis.
Silent Dream. of Dream Lake. and of CrIsis.
Note: This note was written in Elven, on parchment paper, on the 24th Od, in the seventy-third year of the Great Wolfen Empire and the first year of the Kingdom of Koris Gwaisol.

You might as well have had Ursus yell it as loud as he can to tell Malkin where we would like to meat him. Malkin would have heard, I’m sure, and it is just as “secret” as your message.

HEY, so does Ursus!
I like it a great deal. If any of it is relayed in vocal fashion it is fool proof. Otherwise we should assume the dark knows our plans because the agreement is broken. They get to share our intel with their side and we are handicapped because of ridiculous rules only 50% of the adherents follow.
The message could get intercepted by those blasted hawks. Or by a magic net. Especially if Malkin already left Y-Oda – then the eagle would just circle endlessly, unable to find him. That’d be a mighty fine target for any bad guys in the area…
Basically, the Dark can find out without the agreement being broken. Just because we have a plan doesn’t mean it’ll work. We still need to try, but “Hope for the best, plan for the worst” really applies in all things we do.
Well said Toko…
Don’t you fret there Mr. Torrun… all is good on the rules of engagement.
CrIsis is neither sneaky nor subtle. The Dark has willing agents everywhere ready to report on our movements. That was my take from what happened with Apepi. Also Apepi was willing to break the agreement because he’s brash and literally immortal. What’s a severe body investment to him? What’s death to him? I can’t speak for the instances being referenced from before I joined but nothing after I’ve joined has seemed to indicate to me that the Agreement is worthless. We as CrIsis make our own beds then get upset when we have to reap then after they’ve been sewn. We’re our own worst enemies. The Dark doesn’t need to cheat; they have our stubborness and our pride on their side.
I recognize that my experiences regarding this subject are vastly different so at this point I will agree to disagree and move on.
