I Wish You Luck!

CrIsis,

First, Xerx’ses- Changelings are hated because…. well, it is a very long story…. I suggest you pick up a copy of the Tristine Chronicles, and ask Overkill and Tyvernos, for they knew a changeling, closely! The Defilers? Pick up a book about them, or even better, ask the gnome, for his parents were 2 of them! Magic is illegal to be used in public in most “civilized” realms- this is a leftover from the Millenium of Purification, which followed the, as you call it, War of the Fair and the Strong. Again, please read the Tristine Chronicles!

I will research fully these Games specifically, per your, the Great CrIsis, request! Here are some basics I already know that I am happy to share-

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Be named and have sponsorship from recognized guilds of a recognized realm.
Completed application, signed by them and countersigned by a representative of the guild.
Be a male who can speak Elven.
Be an adult.
Not have major or master psionic ability as determined by the LGC (Lopanic Games Committee)
Adhere to the rules of the Games and swear to abide by them in front of Rurga herself!

COMPETITION RULES

All participants must be clothed and are allowed to wear whatever outfit they choose to compete in, but no jewelry is allowed.
No psionic abilities are allowed!
Conventional events (not Freestyle) do not allow any magical abilities. That means no spells, wards, charms, potions, enchantments, or magic weapons!
All entrants must swear the oath of truth at the statue of Rurga.
Freestyle events allow no jewelry, wards, charms, potions, enchantments or magic weapons- just the caster’s powers alone!

As far as an obvious, at least to me, reply- you should have the best equipment available to you before you even do your trials! Talk to your sponsor, which, according to Xerx’ses letter to me, is that scum Mikala and his Greedy Group. It pains me to help you while you represent him- I am not surprised he sent you in unprepared! I wish you the best of luck! You will need it, with the money-grubbers that you will compete against!

I will have more soon, but it would serve me well to know your planned route, so that I may suggest merchants that you should go to on your way.

I hope the Mages in the group chose a more legitimate, Holy Guild, to represent them! I am so disappointed that you chose the Gold Coast, but I am sure you were following the Gods will, and not mine own….

May Mikala rot under his gold….

Your Friend,
Malkin
