Dear Cherkanan,

Please do not be worried about writing to me! I am glad to take the time to read and respond to letters. I will always write back when I am able.

Currently we are far to the north. We must go even further north still. We have made such promises to allies and others. These promises were made in Xerx’ses’ name. Though he sacrificed himself for many we will continue to honor these debts and obligations.

This morning I was faced with a choice in order to help one of my friends in CrIsis. To help him I had to break from the path of Refinement talked about by Millenkosh. I fear that path may be lost to me now. I believe my actions have now set me upon the path of Convergence which Mistress Karath explores through the Guild. This has made me think of you even more than usual. Your letter arriving when it did was a godsend!

I am glad you have written to me. It was very good to hear from you. I do not know if there is a path our futures will take which can bring us to Llorn. Grignak has personally reached out to Duke Vaspasseon and told him something similar. If there is some way we could help in the interim I hope the Gods reveal it before it is too late.
