Creation of the Soldiers of the Torch

Their Story- Sort of
We are the Soldiers of the Torch, and this is a brief recounting of how we came to be, and why we follow CrIsis.
It began in Cyclone, where our leader, the illustrious bard Terramore Gleba received a missive from none other than Xerx’ses. Others joined in Titania, but that has previously been recounted here by the eloquence of our leader, so I shall not rehash it.
From the Jungles of the Yin Sloth we traveled to the Western Empire, reading of the Tales of CrIsis, and being told first hand of creative editing by Rod Rambler by Terramore where the stories differed from the true events! Terramore, while at the end feeling not welcomed by at least one member of the group, felt that CrIsis was truly good, although sometimes flawed! One of our group related a similar story told to him once by Sulyott of a young Mikala which is not my own to relate- if the Defilers were once “human” it is forgivable as well of CrIsis.
We gathered a few more to our cause in the Western Empire, and journeyed as protection for his holiness, the Bishop of the Western Empire, Father Lamriel, to the Middle Kingdoms, to see the Pyramid of Osiris there.
We fought against the Dark to gain passage, and what a battle it was….
Let me tell you, briefly of the glory and terror of war, as taught by none other than the great bard Terramore…
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set today a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.
We shall now, and forever more, sing the Glory of CrIsis!!
May the Light ever Shine on You All!
